Saying goodbye to Dubuque.

We are having to say goodbye to Dubuque, to the Wartburg community and to a lot of good friends. Yes, it is sad but I have a feeling we'll see each other again. Right now I'm so busy moving and packing I don't have much time to think about how different my life will be starting tomorrow. Also, easing the blow of this transition is the excitement of moving to the Northwest, and joining the ministry and Faith Lutheran Church! I feel really positive about how I will fit in there and find my way as a brand new pastor in an exciting church community.

I had this great idea to post a before and after picture of my garage and the Budget truck...guess what, I'm really tired and I'm not doing it. So here's what you do, look at the picture of the garage and look at the picture of the truck and now close your eyes. Imagine all that stuff in the garage and the house in the truck...fun.

Finally and exciting update. Remember a few postings ago I wrote about those unsightly bare spots in my yard? The only tool I had available was my mountaineering boots and crampons to tear up my yard. Well anyway the grass looks great and I think will just continue to get better!

We hit the road tomorrow morning and head for Denver. We'll get back to the midwest sometime, we have so many good friends to come back and visit. But for now, goodbye to Dubuque.
