Many of you know I brew my own beer, to be enjoyed in moderation of course. I collect bottles that can be recapped, sort of a in house recycling program. And it saves me from having to buy bottles. There are people that I know, that save them for me, and the result is, I have a lot of bottles. This collection needed to be organized so I thought putting them up on a high shelf in the garage would be a good spot for them, out of the way.
If find yourself precariously balancing a lot of bottles on a high shelf over a concrete garage floor, and ask yourself, "Hmm....what's the worst thing that could happen here?" I have the answer.
After neatly stacking all the bottles near the celling of the garage, I walked away and admired my organizational skill, and noticed on bottle wiggle a little... then it fell....then the rest of the boxes of bottles cascaded in a stunning waterfall of glass off the shelf and onto the floor.
Here is, the worst case scenario.
This post is also a tribute to the resiliency of beer bottles, only 12-15 bottles were broken in this whole debacle. But it took about an hour to carefully sweep up all the broken glass. Fun.
