Drying out

We're getting there. The flood waters have receded and we're getting things back into shape. One of the families in our congregation woke up to this!


Their house was filled with mud when the "tiny" stream behind their house over filled its banks and the hill side let loose. You can see how much debris was shoved against the garage. The house was full of mud and water.
Faith Lutheran Church has made an incredible response. We've sent work crews up there a few times now to help dig out, dry out, and clean up. It will take some more time yet, but things are headed the right direction.
I've been helping to organize the disaster clean up efforts and have earned the title (hopefully temporarily) "pastor of disaster". You can take that a few ways...hmmmm......
