Getting Ready for Winter

Summer is gone, and winter hasn't arrived yet. It's wet and cold outside but not quite cold enough to snow. But we're getting close. Right behind our house is Mt. Si. I watch the snow appear on the mountaintop and then disappear with the slightest hint of warmer weather. Each time it lingers a little longer, comes down a little more, and soon I have a feeling it will stick for good.



A few weeks ago Heather and I went up to Snoqualmie Pass to check out the ski areas. Above is a photo of Alpental, it's about 30min from the house. With any luck we'll be skiing in no time!
